Veneers in a Day
Our CEREC® machine is a type of computer-aided design and computer-aided technology (CAD/CAM). Using CEREC®, Professional Dental will take digital impressions of your teeth, rather than traditional physical impressions. These impressions are used to create 3-D images of your teeth and mouth, and guide the design of your customized veneers. Your veneers will be precisely crafted to match the color, shape, and size of surrounding teeth. Professional Dental will also evaluate your facial structure and features to ensure that your veneers blend beautifully and seamlessly with your smile.
Before you receive your porcelain veneers, your natural teeth will require some preparation. This process creates room for your veneers and roughens the surface of the teeth so they can bond more securely with the porcelain material. Professional Dental will remove a small amount of enamel from the front of your treated teeth and lightly etch them using local anesthesia to minimize any discomfort.
Once your veneers have been designed, they will be milled right in our office from a block of high-quality porcelain. Depending on the number of veneers you are receiving, the milling process can take just an hour or two. Once they are ready, Professional Dental will check each veneer to ensure it meets your aesthetic standards and does not interfere with your bite. If they fit properly, each veneer will be permanently bonded in place in just minutes. Same-day veneers are immediately functional, and allow you to go about your daily activities with your bright, beautiful new smile.
